Legislative Success for the 38th District

Delegate Kaye Kory was elected as the State Delegate for the 38th District in November 2009 and was sworn in on January 6, 2010.  She currently serves on the following legislative House Committees:

HB2540 — Reducing sales tax on essential personal hygiene, incontinence, and menstrual products, Conference Committee member (2019)

SB1026 — No-excuse absentee voting, House Patron with Senator Spruill (2019)

HB2546 — Establishment of a Maternal Mortality Review Team, with Delegate Robinson (2019)

HB83 — Feminine hygiene products at no cost to female prisoners or inmates (2018)

HB1651 — Exemption for inmate trust accounts (2017)

HB2591 — In-state tuition for American-born U.S. citizens whose parents are undocumented (2019 — blocked in Senate Committee)


Though this bill passed through the House of Delegates 90-Yea 9-Nay, it was blocked in the Senate Committee on Education and Health on a party-line 8-Yea 7-Nay vote.

HB2090 — Charitable solicitor registration statement to include percentage of contributions received dedicated to purpose contributed towards (2017)
